Commenting on the event, Wave Money’s founder and managing director, John Flavell, said: “Our inaugural Small Wave Christmas Invitational was everything we dreamed of – great waves, even better company, and a chance to celebrate the incredible milestones we’ve achieved together this year.

“When Andrew Chick (co-founder and treasurer) and I first envisioned Wave Money, we were clear about the principles we wanted to uphold – delivering exceptional value to borrowers, being indispensable partners to brokers, and fostering a workplace where talent thrives. This event was the perfect embodiment of those principles.”

Wave Money stated that the company was thrilled to reflect on some of the major milestones it achieved over the year, while most importantly, accomplishing those goals while remaining true to its values and what defines the lender.

As we enter 2025, Wave Money reflected on a year of significant growth as it continues to deliver mortgage solutions for borrowers who face challenges in securing their needs through traditional banks and non-bank lenders, further solidifying its position as a trusted partner for their brokers.

“This year, we’ve stayed true to our values, expanded our reach, and celebrated countless wins with our broker partners and their clients,” Flavell said.

“This event was not just about surfing – it was about thanking our brokers and business partners and looking forward to what we can achieve together in 2025.”

The invitational was not just a surf competition, but a celebration of the relationships that drove the company’s success, Wave Money stated.

“Wave Money extends its thanks and gratitude to everyone who made the day memorable and wishes all brokers, partners, and clients a joyful summer break.

“Here’s to another successful year of collaboration, growth, and – of course – catching some cheeky waves in 2025!”
